Antigoni Gjikoka
Q: How did you get into this field / What's your background?
A: I've always loved math and numbers in general. Being a spendthrift, I thought I'd pursue numbers in economics to help me regulate my spending, but it didn't work out. While in university, I enjoyed calculating taxes and interpreting pay stubs for my family members.
The satisfaction I saw from them for explaining taxes and deductions inspired me more and made me say yes to an internship in a Labor consulting firm in Vicenza. From there, my passion was born, and I realized that I could make Payroll my path and my career.
Q: What inspires you?
A: I'm inspired by traveling, getting to know new countries and cultures. I find it very stimulating to take a walk in a strange city. The sounds you hear, the food and conversations with locals.
I am very inspired by reading, reading everything from easy novels to challenging reads ... reading frees my mind, helps me relax, and is almost a spiritual need for me. It seems like I'm always living two lives simultaneously: my own life and the life in the book I'm reading.
I am inspired by learning new things that are not part of my comfort zone. Learning a new profession or trade, in short, expanding my mind beyond the limits we impose on ourselves. Everything can be learned!
Q: If you could go anywhere, where would your next vacation be?
A: I would go to Australia, it's a country that really intrigues me. I would go for the nature, the beaches, and for the sunsets.
